DNA Music band The Red Strings shoots an arrow of tenderness to the Philippine music scene as their second single "Kupido" inches toward 2.8 million streams on Spotify. They are currently headlining the Live Sessions Mall Tour.
The Red Strings' "Kupido" has garnered nearly 2.8 million Spotify streams as the song continues to find its audience through TikTok, with users pairing the sweet, yearning tone of the song to their fictional romantic stories.
Formed by ABS-CBN Music through the YouTube docu-reality series The Next Big Band, the OPM music group, composed of Mychole Liam Barba, Llana Catudio, Nicholas De Rosales, Cedryck Guda, Gello Marquez and Risen Santos, released a trio of upbeat, feel-good rhythms of love and limerence, including Kupido, as their first singles.
The steadfast loyalty of Kupido was first heard alongside the hopeless devotion of "Asado" and unexpected love of "Nasa Ulap" during the group's launch event on March 5.
Following their emergence in the music industry, The Red Strings is set to share their talents across Luzon as they headline ABS-CBN Music's Live Sessions Tour—which successfully kickstarted on Sunday, Sept. 13, in SM City Valenzuela, also featuring artists Bryan Chong and Sarvi.
The sextet, together with other musical acts including BRYN, Cesca, Chie, Erghyll, Jarea, JEL REY, Lala Vinzon, Off to Aurora, Sarvi, Sassa and Yellowpad, will be bringing their skills and artistry next to SM Supermalls in Olongapo (Sept. 19), Bataan (Sept. 20), Telabastagan (Sept. 26), Tarlac (Sept. 27), Clark (Oct. 3) and Baliwag (Oct. 4).
