Warner Bros. Pictures has unveiled the teaser for Practical Magic 2, offering a first look at the long-awaited continuation of the beloved fantasy film.
Leading the sequel are Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock, who reprise their roles as sisters Gillian and Sally Owens respectively.
According to the synopsis, the film "returns to a world steeped in moonlit mischief and powerful ancestral magic, as the Owens sisters must confront the dark curse that threatens to unravel their family once and for all in a must-see cinematic event of fun, magic and mayhem."
Fans online were quick to react to the teaser.
"YES, YES, YES, the house is back, the greenhouse is back, the aunties are back, the songs are back. I love it already," one fan commented.
"Oh man, I feel like we have all been waiting an eternity for this beautiful looking sequel," another fan wrote.
Joining the cast are Joey King, Lee Pace, Maisie Williams, Xolo Maridueña, Solly McLeod, Stockard Channing, and Dianne Wiest.
The film is directed by Susanne Bier, with a screenplay written by Akiva Goldsman and Georgia Pritchett.
It is set to be released in Philippine cinemas on September 9.
Practical Magic 2 serves as a follow-up to the 1998 original, Practical Magic, which centered on "two witch sisters, raised by their eccentric aunts in a small town, [who] face closed-minded prejudice and a curse which threatens to prevent them ever finding lasting love," as per its IMDb.
In a previous interview with PEOPLE in June 2024, Nicole shared what drew her back to the story.
"There's a lot more to tell which is why we go, 'Okay, this is kind of interesting now to be able to do this. [We] found a way in," she said.
The creative team also shared what motivated them to move forward with the sequel.
"The enduring affection for these characters has been our inspiration to deliver the next installment in the Owens’ story to new fans, and those who’ve been with us since the beginning,” the team said in a statement in 2025, as reported by the magazine.
