Yeng Constantino expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the fans who attended Day 2 of her Byaheng Bente: 20th Anniversary Concert despite the inclement weather.
The concert came as the southwest monsoon, or Habagat, brought heavy rains and flooding across Metro Manila and nearby provinces.
In an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN alongside the concert's director, John Prats, the Pop Rock Royalty opened up about how deeply touched she was to see all her supporters.
“Salamat po sa inyong pagpunta kahit na napakalakas ng kulan. Thank you for singing along. Super touch po kami ni Direk (John). Sana po na-enjoy ninyo. I-tag niyo kami sa mga posts niyo para makita namin,” she said.
John also shared how heartwarming it was to see the venue filled with fans who still showed up to support Yeng despite the difficult weather conditions.
“Actually, to be honest, medyo nag-e-expect kami talaga na maraming hindi makakapunta. Nakakatuwa at nakakataba ng puso talaga na they tried their best to be here and celebrate the concert. Kasi lagi namin sinasabi nila, hindi lang yun (basta) 20 years, 20 years (yun) ng pagiging Yengsters,” he added.
He added that the energy on Day 2 indeed felt different.
“Actually, yung Day 2, alam namin, ramdam namin yung gigil na may pinagdaanan. Kaya pag dating dito iba yung energy,” he said.
The actor-turned-director also shared his favorite moment from the night.
“Favorite moment ko yun nung when I was about to start. Tapos nag-play lang ako ng music kasi magpe-prepare na kami. Pero sobrang random lang yung nangyari na hindi ko ma-start kasi nagsi-sing along lang sila. Nakita mo ba yun? Tapos in-on ko yung bracelet. Sumasayaw sila tapos parang sila yung highlight for me,” John recalled.
He went on to share how the audience was already hyped and full of energy even before the show officially began.
“Tapos in-on ko yung bracelet, sumasayaw sila. So parang sila yung naging timer. Tapos after nung song, we started the show… Hindi ko ma-start eh kasi I just had to give that moment sa mga Yengsters,” John said.
Yeng, meanwhile, admitted that she was already emotional at that very moment.
“Nasa likod ako non. Umiiyak na ako. Sabi ko ‘Hala ang hirap naman nito’ I think that's one of my favorite moments din,” Yeng shared.
The singer-songwriter also shared that, for her, everything about the night felt beautiful.
“Ang galing ni Direk Pratty, lahat maganda. Mahirap po ah kasi ang dami pong quick changes, pero na-execute po namin well with the help of Direk,” Yeng said.
The Byaheng Bente celebration continues as Yeng Constantino brings the concert to Cebu for Byaheng Bente Cebu, happening live at the SM Seaside Cebu Arena on September 20, 2026, with John Prats still serving as director.
