Yeng Constantino opened up about her renewal of vows with husband Yan Asuncion as they celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary last February.
In an interview with Bianca Gonzalez on BRGY, Yeng shared that their ceremony became a deeply meaningful moment, centered on declarations they prepared and recited together.
"Kami nung renewal of vows namin parang ang ginawa namin is declarations, what we will do in the future, so magkasabay kami, sinasabi naming wording 'yung mga sinulat namin na declarations together. And it really symobolizes na we vow to be together hanggang sa tumanda kaming dalawa. Pero 'yun nga, iba na, mas mabigat pagka may mga pagsubok na kayong pinagdaanan," she said.
Reflecting on how they navigate challenges as a couple in the last ten years, Yeng said they choose to keep their relationship private and grounded.
"Kaming mag-asawa kasi very private kami sa relationship namin. Even with our families hindi kami masyadong nagshe-share kasi we are so protective of what we have. I guess that's a big factor din kung bakit tumibay kaming dalawa kasi we are so protective of each other na kapag naga-away kami okay nag-aaway tayo at this moment pero magkakampi tayo kasi you are still protecting me. Easy to forgive din kami sa isa't isa," she said. "Marami kaming ganung moments kaya 'yung 10th anniversary namin may pagluha at marami ring tawa," she said.
Yeng also spoke about her song "Kung Uulitin," which was released in 2024 inspired by how she feels about her relationship with Yan after a decade of marriage.
"I wrote that song dahil iyon 'yung pakiramdam ko after ten years grabeng pagmamahal lalo, na I would wish na makausap ko si God na Lord kung merong pang life after this lifetime, pwede bang kami ulit?" she said.
Yeng and Yan had their renewal of vows at The Emerald Events Place in Antipolo last February.
