Yeng Constantino opened up about finding true friendship and genuine connection in show business.
In an interview with Bianca Gonzalez on the TFC show BRGY, Yeng was asked about a photo of her with Kyla, KZ Tandingan, TJ Monterde, and Jason Dy, taken during Jason's recent concert.
"My siblings in the industry, kulang diyan si Erik (Santos), si Ange (Angeline Quinto), 'yan mga kapatid ko," she described them.
Reflecting on their bond, Yeng shared how meaningful their friendship has been over the years. "Sinasabi nila na sa show business it is so hard to find friends, but I would beg to disagree dahil I found family sa business na 'to who are really sincere. 'Pag magkaka-usap kami, 'yung connection namin sobrang real."
Yeng added that she is grateful to have friends who walk with her through both the ups and downs of life. "It's so wonderful to have friends who are genuine to you, who share their pains and their victorious moments with you, 'yung vulnerability nila. I am not saying it is easy, pero merong mga totoong tao sa mundo and what a privilege to have friends like them. Those are the people I am grateful na sinurround ako ni God with kasi kailangan ko siya sa buhay ko na matutunan din, and 'yun I am so grateful," she said.
A testament to their solid friendship, Yeng and KZ recently produced Jason Dy’s 10th anniversary concert.
"Ang hindi alam ng marami, kami rin ang nag-produce ng concert ni Jason sa kanyang 10th anniversary. Nangyari 'yun nasa Japan yata ako nun eh, tapos tumawag si KZ. [Sabi niya], 'Ate, alam mo ba na anniversary ni Jason this year?' Like ilang taon? '10th niya.' [Sabi ko], 'Talaga? Ano gusto mo, produce natin?' [Sabi niya], 'Oh my god sinabi mo pa, 'yun din ang nasa isip ko... so parang nag-usap kami tapos ayun nakipag-meeting kami with the management, which is magkakapatid po kami sa Cornerstone," she said.
The singer went on: "'Yung sa konsepto si Jason talaga lahat kasi parang birthday niya 'yun eh. Pero kami nandun kami sa likod talagang dito kami pwede mo kaming sandalan so we produced the show."
