‘Hers-tory’ was made again as the Philippines’ powerhouse girl group BINI, gave an impressive and cohesive performance at the ongoing Summer Sonic Music Festival in Osaka, Japan.
The Nation’s Girl Group prepared a packed nine-songs setlist which included high octane performances from the visibly-energetic intro, to upbeat tracks like “Cherry on Top,” “Zero Pressure” and “Out of my Head.” They also had their signature dance breaks and catchy melodies from “Blush,” “Step Back” and “Sugar Rush.”
But what stood out the most, for the Blooms and Japanese fans who attended the festival, was the girls singing and speaking in Japanese. OG Blooms would know by heart that the girls recorded a Japanese version of their song called “Born to Win” and there couldn’t be any better time to perform it than in Japan, for Summer Sonic.
And if that’s not enough, BINI also infused and translated some lines from their hit song “Salamin, Salamin” to Japanese.
They then capped off their set with “Pantropiko.”
This impressive performance had the online world buzzin’ about BINI for hours. They made it to the top trending topic of the micro-site ‘X’, worldwide and in the Philippines, at the number one spot. They also trended in other territories.
After their Osaka gig, BINI will head over to Tokyo right away as they prepare for the second leg of their Summer Sonic debut, scheduled on August 16, Sunday.
