More than seven years after he first met his Filipino fans, So Ji-Sub is coming back.

The Korean actor brings the Manila leg of his 2026 Asia Fan Meeting Tour "Soulmate The Timeless" to the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City on November 5, promoter Live Nation Philippines announced. Tickets go on public sale on September 18.

Manila is one of only five stops on the tour, and the show lands while So Ji-Sub is as popular as he has been in years. Here are five reasons to be there.

It has been more than seven years since he last saw Filipino fans

His last Manila fan meeting was on March 16, 2019, at the same New Frontier Theater – the seventh and final stop of his "Hello" Asia tour, and the first time he had ever met his fans here. The pandemic came a year later, and a long stretch of work kept him away after that.

He has been a familiar face to Filipino viewers since Memories of Bali in 2004, the drama that made him a Hallyu name alongside Ha Ji-Won and Zo In-Sung. The Master's Sun, Oh My Venus, and My Secret Terrius followed. For a lot of fans, this reunion has been a long time coming.

He is coming off the biggest K-drama of the year

So Ji Sub played the title role in SBS' Agent Kim Reactivated, the story of a former special agent living quietly as an ordinary office worker until his daughter goes missing.

The numbers were huge. The July 25 finale drew a 23% nationwide rating and peaked at 27.1%, the best of any Korean miniseries in 2026, according to Nielsen Korea. Counting reruns, more than 25.6 million people in Korea watched at some point – about half the country.

It traveled, too. The show topped Netflix's global non-English TV chart for three straight weeks, entered the Top 10 in 73 countries, and hit No. 1 in the Philippines.

His agency 51K said the tour carries extra weight because of it: "This Asia tour carries even greater meaning as So Ji-Sub, who has recently proven his hot popularity both in Korea and abroad through the success of his work, will be meeting his global fans."

The show is built around the fans, not the résumé

The title says it. According to 51K, "'Soulmate The Timeless' carries the meaning of wanting to remain together, unchanged through time, with the fans who have long supported So Ji-Sub."

The agency said the actor "plans to create special memories by closely connecting with fans – sharing moments from his works, behind-the-scenes stories, and a variety of stage performances." Expect him to look back on old projects, tell stories that never made it on screen, and take the stage himself.

Every ticket comes with something

This is not a sit-and-watch show. All ticket holders, whatever the seat, get a postcard and a photocard with a printed signature, join a hi-bye session with So Ji-Sub, and are entered into a fan sign raffle.

VIP buyers get more. Package 1 holders get a group photo with him by pair, while Package 2 holders get one in groups of 15.

Manila is one of only five stops. Plus, it’s happening in a theater, not an arena

The tour opens in Macau on October 24, then goes to Manila on November 5, Taipei on November 7, Jakarta on November 13 and Bangkok on November 15. That is the whole tour.

The Manila show is all-seated at the New Frontier Theater, a venue small enough to keep the fan meeting what it is supposed to be: close and intimate. With a hi-bye session on the program, even balcony seats get a moment with him.
