“I’ve had my fair share of mistakes.”

This is what Kapamilya actress Anne Curtis said when a fan tagged her in her old interview about something that’s a no-no in the industry. On her X (formerly Twitter) account, the It’s Showtime host admitted how she has owned up to her mistakes in the past and that she learned from each one of them.

For Anne, this is one of the reasons she remains in the industry.

“I honestly think that’s why I’ve lasted this long in the industry. 28 years!!!  🫣 I’ve never had a squeaky clean image. I’ve had my fair share of mistakes. Owned up to them publicly and learned from them. Stayed true to my core. Thanks for standing by me everyone,” she once said.

True enough, the Kapamilya actress previously shared how she has apologized for something she even never said herself–– the iconic, "I can buy you, your friends, and this club" line.

In her guest appearance on the Ang Walang Kwentang Podcast of film directors Antoinette Jadaone and JP Habac, Anne recalled how her friends shared that she never uttered those words.

Despite the revelation, she chose to apologize to those involved and just own the line–– which has continued to remain iconic up until today.

“I owned up to it, apologized to those involved (and also received an apoplogy back) but most importanly, I learned my lesson from it .. I'm just talking about the famous line and what my friends told me,” she expressed.

“But you know what? It all happened ages ago and all those involved are on good terms so it doesn't matter anyway.. But anyway, line is so iconic so I'll just own it. Kaya okay lang sabihin nyo ng paulit paulit na sinabi ko,” she asserted.

Anne continues to be a good example of owning up to one’s mistakes and taking accountability while making sure lessons are learned.
