Jasmine Curtis-Smith pulled off a sweet surprise for her mother, Carmen, during an unannounced visit to their home in Melbourne, Australia.

On Instagram, the actress documented her trip from Manila to Melbourne and to the moment she arrived at the house without telling her mother beforehand.

"Di alam ni mama na uuwi ako this morning 😋 I thought she’d be asleep pa pero gising na pala siya packing for her trip to Sydney for Ate’s (Anne Curtis) ASAP show," she shared.

She revealed that her brother, Thomas, helped her plan the surprise and make sure someone would be home when she arrived.

"I’d say mission accomplished ‘to with the help of @tomcurtissmith! Kailangan meron pa rin may alam, baka mamaya wala ako madatnan sa bahay eh 😅," she said.

She added: "Home is whenever I’m with them. 🤍 Can’t wait to see ate soon, too!!! Luv u mum @carmcurtissmith 👯🏽"

In the video, Carmen appeared visibly shocked when Jasmine opened the door.

Carmen also reacted in the comments section, sharing how surprised she was to see her daughter.

"Was a big surprise [for] me, I thought [it] was [Tom] opening [the] door and going out early morning.. it was my @jascurtissmith… all I can say Ha!!" she relayed.

Fans were also delighted by the mother-and-daughter reunion.

“Such a sweet surprise,” one fan wrote.

In February, Jasmine also showed her full support for her sister, Anne Curtis, at the premiere of the latter’s film The Loved One.

"I sat in my car for a good hour after watching The Loved One, just absorbing everything. It is such a quiet, honest portrait of how love develops and changes when two people grow in life," she posted on her Instagram page.

Jasmine also praised the cast’s compelling portrayals in the movie.  "The performances felt so raw, it was painful to watch two people loving each other the only way they knew how," she said.

The actress likewise highlighted the thoughtful styling and use of color in portraying the journey of Anne’s character, Ellie.

"I loved the visual language: the blues of Ellie's (and love's) initial fluidity, then the browns when she finds some of her own grounding.. like love finding its shape, then finding its limits," she said.

Jasmine also recalled the lines and scenes that resonated with her the most.

"That 'I just want you, to live with you' moment… Ellie kneeling, almost like her own proposal. 'Hinahanap na natin 'yung dating tayo sa ibang tao.' By the end, even the colors fade into black and white… like love reaching the end of one season of its life," she stated.
