Filipino tennis superstar Alex Eala shared a bit of what she’s been feeling as she joined her first-ever New York Fashion Week. In a quick interview with American fashion magazine Vogue before the start of the Calvin Klein show, the WTA ranked number 18 expressed how it’s a different kind of New York she’s been experiencing.

Alex was wearing an all-white attire with gloves during the event. Some of her fans shared on various social media platforms how gorgeous and beautiful the Filipino tennis superstar has been with her outfits.

Quickly explaining her outfit for the show, Alex shared how it also pays homage to her Wimbledon experience as she also wore an all-white outfit then.

“Yes, I love the all white. It’s very reminiscent of Wimbledon and I love the belt–– how it’s a black accent. I think it really stands out and my favorite part is the gloves. I love wearing gloves,” she expressed.

When asked about her New York Fashion Week experience, the Filipino athlete had nothing but good words. She maintained how nervous she’s been but at the same time excited for the whole new experience.

“This is my first New York Fashion Week so I feel like I’m getting a pretty authentic experience of rushing around with the traffic and fitting gym in as well. I’m really excited. I've been nervous but in a very good way,” she explained.

Prior to the New York Fashion Week, Alex had a successful run at the US Open earlier this month where she was able to reach the Third Round of the tournament. She was defeated in a three-set battle with American player Iva Jovic.

WHO SAID THIS: Alex Eala continues to soar higher

It was also during the US Open wherein British media executive and former editor-in-chief of American Vogue Anna Wintour took notice of the fashion sense of Alex and how much the rising star is willing to learn more about it.

“We had the young Filipino star, you know, you could see even in such a young star how interested she is in fashion. How she wants to learn about it and follow it and I think it’s great,” Anna previously expressed.
