Kapamilya actor and host Robbie Jaworski expressed why it’s important that the youth use their voices and be politically aware. Speaking exclusively with PUSH ABS-CBN, the Y Speak 2.0 host shared how fulfilling it was to join the youth-oriented program as he found his purpose in the showbiz industry.
Y Speak 2.0 is a public affairs debate show broadcast hosted by Robbie alongside Elijah Canlas, KD Estrada, River Joseph, Ralph de Leon, and Aya Fernandez. The program is a safe place where people can have engaging discourse on various topics.
“You know, when I first found out I was joining Y Speak, I was so happy. I felt so blessed kasi yan yung hinahabol ko pagpasok ko dito sa showbiz–– that purpose,” Robbie expressed.

The Kapamilya star added how the show is very relevant to the country right now as it allows the youth to take part in significant conversations by watching and hearing the opinions from various individuals.
“What better purpose is there than interacting, communicating, and parang tinutulak mo yung mga kabataan ngayon mag-isip. Ayan yung purpose ng show na yan. For me, I find so much fulfillment in that project,” he added.
For Robbie, he claimed that ‘it’s very important’ for the youth to speak up and use their voice despite the sensitive political atmosphere. While the youth should be using their voices, he reminded them how important it is to fact check as well.
“Right now, our political atmosphere is very sensitive so we also need to be very careful with what we say, with what we do. Kaya you listen, you discern, and you act. You make sure that if you speak–– which we should–– it’s backed up by research, backed up by facts. Hindi lang yun may nagkwento sa’yo kaya tingin mo alam mo na,” he maintained.

The Loyalty Game actor added that while social media posts are okay, having real life conversations with the people around you about topics involving the country is also beneficial for society.
“Pag kasama mo yung mga kamaganak mo, mga kaibigan mo, mga kapatid mo, pagusapan niyo yung pangyayari sa Pilipinas kasi importante na alam natin yung mga pangyayari na yun. Konektado yun sa kinabukasan natin so pagisipan natin,” he ended.
Robbie recently played at the Juniors division of the Star Magic All Star Games where he was included in the Mythical Five alongside Diego Gutierrez, Fred Moser, Rocky Labayen, and Jan Silva.
