Kapamilya actor Robbie Jaworski couldn’t contain his excitement as he is set to play his first-ever game in an arena in the upcoming Star Magic All Star Games this August 23 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. Speaking exclusively with PUSH ABS-CBN, the Star Magic talent shared how it’s a “dream come true” for him to play in front of a big crowd–– something his father and grandfather once did in the PBA.
Robbie is the son of Robert ‘Dodot’ Jaworski Jr. and and grandson of Robert Jaworski Sr., both PBA legends. Despite the Kapamilya artist not having followed the footsteps of his father and grandfather in the professional scene, he has been playing basketball all his life.

“I was passionate about basketball once–– played throughout my school life except college,” he shared.
The Loyalty Game actor expressed how nervous but grateful he is to be playing alongside his fellow Star Magic talents. While he admitted that he hasn’t been playing basketball consistently due to his shifting focus on his work as an actor, Robbie is still excited for the opportunity given to him.
“I’m nervous at the same time I’m grateful kasi binigyan ako ni Lord at ni Star Magic ng pagkakataon for living out a dream, which is to play in an arena in front of fans and people watching. To experience yung nararanasan ng lolo at tatay ko nung araw na PBA players sila. For the first time in my life, I’m going to enter an arena not as a host, not as a fan, but like my lolo, like my dad — as a player,” he said.
“I mean, it’s Star Magic All Star Games. Kahit hindi siya PBA, it’s a dream come true somehow. Some way, it is,” he added.
Robbie will be battling it out against other Star Magic artists at the Junior Basketball which makes it more fun for him.
“Yung team ko, kakalabanin naman namin yung ibang Star Magic artists… I’m excited to play with everyone. Sa totoo lang, yun naman yung pinakahinahanda or pinakaexcited ako eh–– doon sa pakikisama sa ibang tao, sa ibang artists,” he explained.

The Kapamilya star is hopeful that the Star Magic All Star Games will be filled with competition but more than that, to have fun alongside his fellow artists during the sports event.
“I just want to experience being in a team–– a basketball team–– with my fellow Star Magic artists and compete. Masaya ang competition at masaya din manalo,” he ended.
