Kapamilya actor Robbie Jaworski shared how entering the showbiz industry wasn’t something he had in mind when he was growing up. In an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, the rising star expressed how his search for purpose led him to pursuing a totally different career from what he initially expected.
“Looking back at it now, actually buong buhay ko hindi ko talaga pinagisipan or naisip na papasok ako sa showbiz. I expected na papasok ako sa corporate world, which I did, tapos dun nalang ako sisipag at magtatrabaho,” he admitted.

While being in the showbiz industry will give you fame, exposure, and engagement, Robbie maintained it wasn’t any of those that got him to say yes to the opportunity given to him.
“I wasn’t really thinking about popularity but what I was hoping for, yung hinahabol ko, is purpose. So I thought, oh maybe in showbiz I can build my own voice, build credibility, connect with so many other people, learn a lot with the hopes of building a brighter future and also hoping that whatever –– bawat kilos ko–– would lead to something that would hopefully one day inspire somebody else or provide opportunities for people around me,” he explained.
Being with Star Magic for two years already, the Kapamilya star revealed that he felt like finding his purpose has only just begun.
“I think that I have found a sense of purpose, and I think that in life, you will always be able to explore more purpose,” he maintained.
Robbie isn’t new to the life of the entertainment industry as his parents were widely-known celebrities–– actress Mikee Cojuangco and athlete-turned-politician Dodot Jaworski. When asked about any advice that was given to him by his parents, the Star Magic talent shared how they reminded him to be true to himself and his core–– something he admitted isn’t that easy especially having so many acting roles.
“Of course it's a challenge because in showbiz you’re exposed to so many roles, so many jobs, whether it be hosting or acting, exposure sa iba’t ibang mga tao. So they said ‘stay true to who you are, don’t forget to just be yourself’, and I try to do that,” he said.
“It’s easy to get lost sometimes kapag medyo magulo ang buhay at schedule, but when you have a foundation and try to be yourself, it’s for better or worse, and then you just either strike out or hit a home run doing that,” he added.

As to why Robbie decided to sign with Star Magic and not with any talent management, it was the trust and support that they gave him.
“Star Magic wanted to support me achieve my dreams and that touched my heart, so I chose to sign with Star Magic,” he ended.
Meanwhile, Robbie is set to participate in the upcoming Star Magic All Star Games this August 23 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. Tickets are available through SM Tickets outlets nationwide and smtickets.com. Fans can also stream live and catch the All-Star Fancams through ABS-CBN Entertainment YouTube Membership.
