Filipino podcast Dogshow Divas released an official statement after the departure of former beauty queen and Kapuso host, Joy Barcoma, earlier this week. In their official social media accounts, the podcast expressed their gratitude and expressed their support towards her.
Joy became one of the the show’s well-loved guest hosts. She and fellow guest host Tuesday Vargas caught the attention of the audience due to their wit and humor that balanced well with the show’s main hosts, Baus Rufo and Macoy Dubs.

In their statement, the podcast remained grateful for the time that the former beauty queen spent with them.
“Super grateful and buong Dogshow Divas family for all the time, energy, tawanan, at kalokohan you’ve shared with us,” the statement wrote.
As they continue the podcast without Joy, Dogshow Divas maintained that they don’t condone the hate that Joy has been receiving from anonymous netizens.
“We will never condone or tolerate hate in any form. Your peace and well-being should always be protected. Thank you for being such a special part of this beautiful journey,” they said.
“We will always be rooting for you, Jusa!” they ended.
Fans of the podcast shared how sad they were following the decision of Joy but maintained that they will continue to support the show and the former beauty queen. Other netizens gave their opinion on Joy’s departure, with most of the comments showing disappointment at the rude remarks given to her.
“This is why we can’t have nice things,” a fan wrote.
“We really can’t have nice things with how intolerable some people on the internet are. Like lumalabas talaga ang worst in people sa comments section and the veil of anonymity. Jusa was such a light on Dog Show Divas, I absolutely loved seeing her there,” another fan added.
Joy previously shared that she’ll be stepping back from the podcast to protect her peace following some rude comments made about her. She has expressed her gratitude to everyone who showered her with support throughout the stint she did with the podcast.
“Today, I’ve decided to step away from Dogshow Divas. Nabasa ko ang comments about my guestings. I’ve always been grateful whenever I’m invited to join podcasts when my schedule allows, but how often I appear isn’t something I personally control,” Joy previously expressed.
