Actress Iza Calzado took to social media to share that she spent her birthday week surrounded by the things that matter most to her such as her family, simple moments, and a growing appreciation for life.
On Instagram, Iza shared a carousel of photos and videos from her special week, which included spending time with her daughter Deia and even rearranging their home.
“Celebrated my birthday in the best way I could have asked for. ❤️,” Iza said. “It was Deia’s first day of school, followed by watching her dance class, which was really all I wished for that day.”
Iza added that being with her daughter, husband Ben Wintle, and their family made the celebration even more meaningful, saying: “To see her happy, to be with Ben and our family, and to end the day around the table with good food and people I love dearly. Full of the things that matter most to me. My kind of birthday in this season of my life.”
Beyond celebrating with her loved ones, Iza also spent part of the week rearranging their home, finally making changes she had been meaning to do for some time.
“I even spent part of the week rearranging our home, finally moving things around that I’d been meaning to for over a year, letting go of what we no longer needed and making space for something new,” she shared.
While she was letting go of some things, Iza also found a reason to hold on to something special from Ben 10 years ago.
“And yet, there are some things worth holding on to, like the beautiful red dress Ben gave me 10 years ago that I chose to wear again on my birthday. I love that it has stood the test of time and gets to be part of this chapter of my life too,” she expressed.

For Iza, the simple moments of her birthday week reflected how her perspective on celebrating another year has changed over time.
“Birthdays feel different now. Of course, there is still a part of the day that is mine, but it’s no longer just about me. Deia, life, and all the different seasons I’ve gone through have changed that in the most beautiful way,” she said.
The actress also reflected on how the years have shaped the woman she has become and how she has learned to appreciate life differently.
“I find myself appreciating life differently these days. The years have shaped me, grounded me, humbled me and, most of all, helped me see more clearly what truly matters. I’m happy with the woman I am becoming, grateful for all that I have and all that I am, and excited for everything that life has in store for me,” she continued.

With her family and loved ones by her side, Iza ended her birthday message with gratitude for everyone who helped make her celebration special.
“So grateful to our angels at home and our family for making the day extra special, and to everyone who sent their love, flowers, food and thoughtful gifts. I felt all the love,” she said.
“A little glimpse of a very happy birthday, just the way I wanted it. ❤️”
