Kapamilya host Bianca Gonzalez can’t help but be frustrated over the flooding that’s been happening across Metro Manila this month. In her X (formerly Twitter) account, the Pinoy Big Brother host expressed how Filipinos deserve better as the flooding has become a yearly occurrence.
Bianca has always been vocal about her opinions, be it about life or politics. She has previously made statements and joined calls for a better and progressive country.

“TAMA NA ang band aid, short term, temporary fixes sa tag-ulan. DESERVE NG PILIPINO NG EFFECTIVE LONG TERM SOLUTIONS,” she wrote.
Metro Manila has seen severe flooding the previous days due to the effects of the habagat or the southwest monsoon. Earlier this week, PAGASA reported that the nation’s capital received 201.7 millimeters of rainfall in just 5 hours last August 17.
The Kapamilya star took note of how neighboring countries have been able to adapt to the situation while the Philippines seems to have become even worse as the years go by.
“Flood control, mass public transport, good governance, atbp. Taun taon nalang ganito. Bakit sa mga katabi nating bansa, kaya naman, eh dito, parang mas lumalala?” she questioned.
Fans seconded Bianca’s statements on the reply section. Other netizens proposed their ideas in hopes that the government could implement it the next time that a storm or southwest monsoon passes.
“When public officials pride themselves not for preventing floods but for claiming the floods ‘recede more quickly,‘ you know how low the bar for good governance has fallen,” a fan wrote.
“Mukhang ayaw ng mga politiko mawala ang pagbaha kasi sinasamantala nila yung pagkakataon na mamigay ng relief goods para mangampanya,” another netizen shared.

Previously, Bianca shared in Kylie Verzosa’s Almost Honest podcast how Filipinos deserve better when it comes to public service.
“I mean, as much as resilience is a great trait, Filipinos definitely deserve better. Public service and systems in place to make everyone’s lives a bit better and to make everyone’s taxes work for the people,” she previously said.
