Kapamilya star Bianca Gonzalez gave her thoughts on what’s been happening to the country recently during her recent guest appearance on Kylie Verzosa’s Almost Honest podcast. The Pinoy Big Brother host shared that Filipinos deserve better in public service.
Bianca has been vocal about her political opinions. She has urged her followers on social media to remain critical and stay aware of developments in the country.
The Kapamilya host was asked by the former beauty queen about her opinion on the resiliency of Filipinos and how it’s being celebrated instead of demanding better systems to be placed.
“Yes. We do, we definitely do. I mean, it’s happened so many times. I think the universe and God has been giving Filipino signs to demand better through the years. Kung ano-ano, but still we’re stuck here,” she expressed.
Bianca added that resiliency is a good trait to have, but it shouldn’t be the case at all times, especially when there are things that could be improved overall.
“I mean, as much as resilience is a great trait, Filipinos definitely deserve better. Public service and systems in place to make everyone’s lives a bit better and to make everyone’s tax work for the people,” she explained.
She then shared how she just paid her taxes and claimed the Philippines isn’t poor but rather looted by corrupt individuals.

“It’s so true. We’re not a poor country, we’re a plundered country,” she said.
“Hirap mag bayad ng tax kapag tinetext ako ng accountant ko parang saan ba mapupunta 'to, kaninong kotse nanaman 'to?” she humored.
In the same interview, Kylie then asked Bianca to share a controversial opinion she currently holds. Though she didn’t have any, the Kapamilya star had a lingering question in her mind, which she also had no answer to.
“It’s not yet a fully formed opinion, but it’s a question I have in my head because it’s decades nga that our problems have been the same as a country. I’m thinking like, is this particular kind of democracy the right of government for our country? Because again, we’ve been here for decades and nothing much has changed so I have no answer for it,” she shared.
“I’m not a [political science] student nor have I talked to anyone about this, but there are several countries around us that have different types of governments that have done better. So, I’m thinking–– I love democracy honestly but like inisip ko, is this how our country will progress?” she ended.
