Bianca Gonzalez has appealed to media platforms to refrain from including the prices of celebrity owned luxury items in their features given the current global tensions and situation faced by the Filipinos.
The Pinoy Big Brother host took to X on April 6 to share her thoughts, urging media platforms to be more mindful in their features. While she did not mention any specific media outlet, celebrity features showcasing luxury lifestyles have long been a staple in entertainment media.
“Sa mga media platforms featuring luxury items ng mga celebs, wag na muna sanang isama sa feature yung presyo ng mga ito,” she wrote.
Bianca acknowledged that many celebrities work hard and save up for such purchases but emphasized that the current situation calls for a more considerate approach.
“Malamang ay pinag-ipunan nila ito, oo, pero sa ekonomiyang ito, sa taas ng presyo ng gas at bilihin, sa nangyayari sa mundo, sa hirap na pinagdadaanan ng mga kababayan natin, hindi ito ang panahon para detalyehin pa at ibida ang mga ganitong bagay. Hindi naaayon. Salamat.”
Her statement comes as oil companies mark its fifth consecutive week of price increases since tensions in the Middle East escalated in late February, particularly amid the ongoing US-Israel and Iran war.
Online, many netizens echoed Bianca’s sentiments, agreeing that content should be handled with greater sensitivity during these difficult times.

This is not the first time Bianca has spoken out on pressing social issues. On April 1, she also criticized systemic problems affecting Filipinos.
“There is no April Fools because the joke has been on us for way too long 🤡🤡🤡 patuloy na niloloko't nililinlang pero wala pa ring nananagot at hindi pa rin inaayos ang mga bulok na sistema,” she previously wrote on X.
Her post was echoed by actress and It’s Showtime host Anne Curtis, who reshared the message on her own account.
“Huy! Please stop FOOLING us! 😭 Kawawa ung mga pilipino 😭😭,” Anne wrote.
Bianca and Anne are among the celebrities who have been vocal about issues affecting the country, including calls for accountability and reform.
