MANILA — Dingdong Dantes praised Coco Martin’s dedication to the Philippine entertainment industry, revealing that the Kapamilya star was behind their upcoming initiative for the League of Filipino Actors (AKTOR).
The primetime rivals recently met to discuss an upcoming project.
“Ang idea nanggaling sa kanya. Bilib na bilib ako sa dedicattion at sa kanyang pag-iisip ng ganitong bagay para sa industriya. Ramdam pagmamahal,” Dantes said during an event held where he was named as an endorser for Marstek Philippines.
While he was mum on other details, the “Rewind” actor revealed they are in the “planning stages.”
He also added that Martin will be the one to make the announcement.
“Gusto ko man mag share ng details ayoko muna i-spoil mangyayari. Magkakaroon siya ng separate announcement, but we are in the planning stages. Gusto ko siya mag announce,” he said.
The viral meeting fueled fans’ calls for a screen collaboration, with many joking about a crossover between Martin’s Gabo in “Sigabo” and Dantes’ Atoy in “The Master Cutter.”
Asked about the possibility of a collaboration, Dantes said he is open to the idea.
“Why not, hindi ko pa masasagot yan ngayon… pero maging napakagandang eksana iyon,” he said.
