Drag Race Philippines Season 2 contestant M1ss Jade So is taking an indefinite hiatus from all drag performances and public appearances until further notice. This was announced through a joint statement by her family and the Haus of M1ss Jade So earlier this week.
This hiatus comes after the disturbing livestream she did earlier this week, which alarmed some fans, fellow performers, and her family. They have also asked to delete the videos that were recorded during the livestream.
In the lengthy statement, Jade, through her team, expressed her apologies to everyone who got worried about her. They assured everyone that she is already safe and is “receiving the care and support” that she needs.
“Your compassion has meant more than words can express. Jade is deeply sorry for the distress and worry that recent events have caused to her family, friends, supporters, event organizers, fellow performers, and everyone affected. This has been a deeply personal and painful experience,” they shared.
While she “was in an extremely vulnerable and overwhelmed state” during the said livestream, her team maintained that Jade isn’t holding anyone accountable for her actions and hoped that fans wouldn’t blame other drag queens in the situation.

“We also hope this difficult moment will not become an opportunity to pit queens against one another or create further division within the drag community. Especially during times like these, we hope everyone will choose empathy over conflict, compassion over judgment, and support over hostility. Let this be a moment to care for one another rather than deepen hurt or duel unnecessary conflict,” they expressed.
As she takes on an indefinite hiatus to focus on her healing and recovery, Jade’s team is hopeful that fans could respect her privacy during these difficult times.
“Thank you for the overwhelming love, concern, and support that has been shown during this difficult time. We kindly ask for continued privacy, patience, and understanding as Jade focuses on healing. There will be no further statements at this time. We respectfully ask for your understanding as Jade and her loved ones focus on recovery,” the statement ended.
