Megastar Sharon Cuneta recently gave her daughter, KC Concepcion, a gift that carries more than four decades of memories.
In an Instagram post on June 8, Sharon revealed that she had passed down the very first luxury watch she ever purchased for herself to her eldest daughter. According to Sharon, the watch seen on KC’s wrist in their photo last Mother’s Day is no ordinary accessory but a treasured piece from her youth.

“Notice the watch she is wearing in the picture. It is the very first expensive watch I bought for myself when I was sixteen or seventeen, so it is over forty years old,” she wrote.
The gold-and-steel Cartier watch holds a special place in Sharon’s heart not only because it was her first luxury purchase, but also because it became part of an important chapter in her life. The actress revealed that she wore the same watch in her 1984 film Sa Hirap At Ginhawa, where she starred alongside her former husband and KC’s father, Gabby Concepcion.
In her post, Sharon also shared a scene from the movie showing her wearing the watch. The film was particularly meaningful because it was Sharon and Gabby’s first movie together after their wedding that same year. At the time, Sharon was already expecting her eldest daughter.
“KC was in my tummy! Now she is wearing my precious watch,” she added.
Expressing her affection for her daughter, Sharon ended her post saying: “I love you, Tina!❤️”
The touching gesture quickly warmed the hearts of netizens, many of whom praised Sharon for handing down an heirloom rich with personal and family history.

The meaningful gift is just one of many thoughtful exchanges between the mother and daughter over the years. In 2025, KC created customized jewelry for Sharon, including pieces featuring the Megastar’s signature.

Earlier this year, KC reflected on her unique family dynamic during a podcast interview with journalist Karmina Constantino. As the daughter of two of Philippine showbiz’s biggest stars, she said she has learned to embrace and respect the families her parents have built separately.
“I would like to respect the actual families, my mom has with my Dad — I used to call him Tito Francis (Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan), but I call him Dad [now] — and my Papa and Tita Gen (Genevieve Gonzales). I want to be sensitive about acknowledging that that’s their family now,” she said.
Despite her parents having separate families, KC said she appreciates the effort everyone has made to maintain a harmonious relationship.
“I think [they’re placed in that situation] where they have to get along. Parang silent antenna. I see that a lot of friends have similar family backgrounds, and my parents and their partners, they did their best. They are continuing to do their best to nurture their marriages and their families, which are also my families. That’s all we know, right?” she said.
Reflecting on her unique journey, KC shared how she has come to view her family situation with gratitude and acceptance.
“I’m so appreciative because it’s not about belonging and being an outsider or not; it’s just the realization, acceptance, and understanding of that world that was a breakthrough for me. I love this unique situation I’m placed in, and I hope I make it right,” she previously expressed.
