Actress Matet de Leon hit back Wednesday at what she described as "bashers" commenting on the ongoing rift between her siblings and their brother Ian over the management of their late mother Nora Aunor's estate, saying critics do not know the real story behind the family dispute.
"Maraming nangyari sa amin na hindi ko na ni-reveal sa inyo dahil hindi naman kayo kasali. Pag nalaman ninyo, baka maloka kayo," Matet said in a Facebook post, apparently addressing her detractors.
(A lot has happened to us that I never revealed to you guys because you aren't involved. If you knew everything, you might be shocked.)
Matet pointed out that some people were quick to assume that she and her siblings were trying to take what rightfully belonged to Ian — or, as she put it, "nang-aagaw" — after he said he was Aunor's sole legal heir.
But for Matet, "Ang tunay na kaaway ay kayo ("The real enemy is you)."
"Nag co comment ng kung ano ano. Na para bang may nagawa kami sa inyo mismo," she said.

"I just realized, that your words are empty (the bashers). You don’t know us, we don’t know you. Walaaaa kayong kaalam alam sa nangyari," she added.

Addressing Ian, Matet said her brother should have also told the public about his own wrongdoings, and that she and her siblings never took or seized anything from him.
"Sa tingin mo ba, deserve namin to? Na winawalanghiya kami ng tao kahit alam mo kung sino at anong klaseng tao kami? Mukha kaming kupal kahit alam mong hindi," Matet said.
(Do you think we deserve this? To be insulted by people even though you know who we are and what kind of people we are? We end up looking like jerks even though you know that's not true.)
Matet's statement is the latest development in the public dispute between Ian, Aunor's biological son, and sisters Lotlot and Matet, two of the late actress' four adopted children.
Ian has maintained that he is the sole legal heir to Aunor's estate and said his siblings had been informed about the one-person corporation he established to manage the legacy of the late Superstar and National Artist. He also said the properties will be divided equally among siblings.
Lotlot and Matet, however, have said that neither they nor their siblings were informed about the corporation. Lotlot has also stressed that they have no interest in inheriting Aunor's properties.
