MANILA -- Actress Matet de Leon finally broke her silence about her and her other siblings' relationship with Ian de Leon, who shared in an interview that he is the sole and legal heir of their mother, National Artist Nora Aunor.
In an interview with Boy Abunda on Thursday, Matet clarified that she and her other siblings do not have a feud against Ian, but admitted that there has been a "misunderstanding."
"Actually hindi ko po masabing away but misunderstanding," said Matet, who also reacted to Ian's statement that he is the sole and legal heir of Aunor.
"Totoo naman po. Wala namang pagdududa doon. Kumbaga kahit na hindi niya po sabihin eh understandable alam naman po ng lahat 'yan," she said.

Asked about the Nora Aunor Foundation and Nora Aunor Enterprise — two one-person corporations recently revealed by Ian — Matet distanced herself and her siblings from the entities.
"Hindi po kami kasama. Nalaman na lang po namin about 'yung dalawa sa social media," Matet said.
The actress added that while their mother left behind several properties, she has no knowledge regarding the existence of a last will and testament.

Meanwhile, Matet also explained her post on social media showing a photo of her with sister Lotlot and brothers Kenneth and Kiko with the caption: "Post ko lang uli. Mukha ba kaming may pake?"
Doon po parang kumulo ako na as if we're not grateful. We're grateful. I'm here, talking with you Tito Boy because of my mom. I'm Matet because of my mother. So I'm grateful.
Matet then turned emotional as she asked for respect explaining that they are still mourning the death of their mother.
...But please respect us -- not just me but my brothers, too because tinawag na kaming call girl, call boy. You think mommy will be happy kapag nalaman niya na sinasabi niyo 'yan? Ako okay lang ako eh, but my brothers, hindi po sila artista," Matet said.

Last month, Ian clarified that his status as the sole legal heir of Aunor does not exclude his siblings from family ties, as he takes on the responsibility of managing the late superstar’s legacy.
