Luis bared that he can’t believe it’s been 10 years since the game show last aired on the Kapamilya network. While he wasn’t the host for the first seasons of Kapamilya Deal or No Deal, he shared how much love he has for it. “Ni hindi ko man lang naisip na it’s been 10 years. You know, this is a show na I love. Hindi man ako ang nagsimula ng show na ‘to sa Pilipinas, but it’s something na sobrang na-appreciate ko,” he expressed.
The Kapamilya host added that this led to several doors opening for him in his hosting career. Following his successful showing in Kapamilya Deal or No Deal, he went on to host other ABS-CBN game shows, Minute To Win It and Rainbow Rumble. “Para sa akin, ito ang first solo big break ko—ang Deal Or No Deal. If I’m not mistaken, mas nauna ‘to sa Minute To Win It. And with all the game shows especially na pinaggalingan ko na Rainbow Rumble—there’s a bit of trivia, there’s a bit of chance—ito, ibang-iba,” he added.

Luis then admitted the reason why he decided to say yes again to hosting the game show even though it has been a decade since the last episode aired. For him, it’s the raw reactions they all have–– from the contestants and even him–– whenever a briefcase is opened. “So, kung ano man reaction namin sa piso, kung ano man ang reaction namin sa one million—it’s all natural. So ’yon ang na-miss ko sa game show na ’to. Kaya naman laban, laban agad,” he said.
The Pambansang Host is ready to get the show going as he knows how much Filipinos have missed the rollercoaster of emotions that each episode brings. “I’m very very happy na babalik ’to. I’m very happy na matagal na ring inaabangan ’to. At lahat naghihirap, lahat nagsisipag, to bring back Kapamilya Deal Or No Deal,” he ended.
While there is no official date when the show will begin just yet, the teaser hinted that it will air on Saturdays and Sundays in various Kapamilya platforms.
