MANILA -- Actress and online celebrity Donnalyn Bartolome shared her heartfelt birthday message to her boyfriend, actor JM de Guzman.
In a social media post on Tuesday, Bartolome paid tribute to de Guzman as she uploaded photos of the actor as well as their photos together.
In the caption, Bartolome expressed her pride and admiration for de Guzman as she recalled the actor's struggles and hard work to achieve the things he has today.
"Happy birthday, Juan Miguel!! Found this pic of you 1 year ago with the new car. 🖤 Nuxx! Look at you! We prayed so hard for this day to come since the day we met. In less than 4 years, God turned things around like I knew He would for you. Don’t worry, we both know what it took for this to all happen, no one can change history," she wrote.
"We didn’t just wait— we created opportunities to afford that dream car na sabi mo for our future para inspired ka magwork🤭 shweettt. You stayed focused on finally owning a home, and now you’re officially a businessman too🔥 jusssst everything you deserve lalo after you’ve worked so hard all these years, sabi mo ngayon mo palang nararanasan magkaroon ng para sa’yo naman at sa future mo..🥹🤍 I’m so proud of you, just like what’s written in that old love letter," Bartolome wrote.
"It may have looked easy from the outside, but there were so many sleepless nights, early mornings for us and so many plans figuring out how we’d get through everything while still supporting our separate families and at the same time building the future we promised each other. Because of this.. there were times we had to be apart just to earn more to provide.. through it all, thank you for being my partner," she added.
Bartolome once again shared her love and support to de Guzman, saying that it was a privilege for her to be with the actor during his dark times.
"Your last post thanking me for being there for you at your lowest was not at all needed Juan Miguel.. you have to understand.. being there for you during dark times wasn’t a duty. It was a privilege. It reminds me of the saying: 'A woman’s loyalty is tested when a man has nothing, but a man’s loyalty is tested when he has everything.' How would you have known my love was real if I only had you at your best, right?," she said.
She concluded her post by reminding de Guzman to go to church to praise and thank God for all the blessings he has been receiving.
"We’re now at the most exciting part of the story," she wrote.
Lst month, de Guzman honored Bartolome for National Girlfriend’s Month, noting that she chose to be with him during his lowest point.
Bartolome confirmed that she and de Guzman are officially together in June 2024, one month after sharing their "exclusively dating" status.
