As one of the kapamilya artists who showed up last July 9, Wednesday, at ABS-CBN in Quezon City to pose one last time with the company in front of the iconic kapamilya network tower, actress Nikki Valdez couldn’t help but get emotional while inside the compound where she spent a big part of her showbiz career.
In her Instagram post, Nikki shared an older photo of herself in front of the tower along with a list of her most memorable memories inside the compound, “ONE LAST TIME. 🙏 While trying to find this photo, I was surprised to see that this was taken exactly 5 years ago (well, almost, kasi date of this photo is July 10, 2020). 🙂

❤️💚💙 Sa 2nd floor lobby ako tinigil ni Mr. M para pakantahin. Diko alam audition ko na pala yun and after, pinapirma niya ako agad ng kontrata.
❤️💚💙 Sa Dolphy Theater naman unang pinresent ang Star Circle Batch 4 sa production
❤️💚💙 Pag late ako natapos sa taping, either sa dressing room 1 or 2 kami matutulog ni Mommy tapos sa shower area sa may lumang cashier ako maliligo para sa susunod na taping day ko nanaman. Wala kasi kaming car para mag uwian na biyahe.
❤️💚💙 Pag break time, tambay kami sa canteen noon and I remember looking forward to free yema pag magbabayad ka na ng order mo. 😅”
Too many memories to mention and relationships made that will forever be part of me.
Today, I bid goodbye to this landmark that is a symbol of dreams that turned into reality and a witness to so many battles fought, but this part of ABSCBN is MY HOME and will FOREVER be. ❤️💚💙”

In another post, the 46-year-old actress, who successfully headlined The Sandbox Collective musical Next to Normal earlier this year, shared her thoughts on having gratitude in her life.
She wrote, “GIVE THANKS (EVEN FOR THE BAD DAYS) 🙏 Say thank you when your alarm goes off (but you still want to sleep), because your eyes opened and you are alive. Say thank you for the tired and wearisome days because you appreciate more the meaning of rest. Say thank you for people who ask for your help and open up their problems to you because that means they trust and know that they can depend on you. Say thank you for unimaginable and tight situations because they give you strength to overcome, and patience to be calm and know that there willl be brighter days.
In everything-- big or small, bad or good-- give thanks. 💕💕💕”

Nikki was first launched in 1997 at the age of 18 when she became part of ABS-CBN’s part of Star Circle Batch 4 along with batchmates Jericho Rosales, Dimples Romana, Kristine Hermosa, Anna Larucea, Vanessa del Blanco, Carol Banawa, Dominic Ochoa, Paula Peralejo, and Julia Clarete.
During her 24th anniversary in the industry in 2021, Nikki wrote in one post, “I was never that child who wanted to be part of the movie industry. I was always insecure, intimidated and had fear of rejection but fate went the other direction and God had the best plans for me. Here I am now twenty four years later... Was it easy? No. There are still some struggles to this day. Was it worth it? Definitely! I wouldn’t have it any other way. I am beyond blessed to have a job that continues to sustain me and my family and a company that has continued to love and take care of me and people who have always been there no matter what. I am in my happy place and have no plans of going elsewhere. When you love what you do and take care of that, it comes back to you more than you can ever imagine. 💖”
