Kapamilya actress Nikki Valdez showed some snaps from the latest tennis competition she joined where she placed first runner-up in the Doubles Category. On her Instagram account, she shared with her followers the lessons she learned after her competition.
Nikki has been showing her progress with the sport that she has been loving on her social media account.

“Soooo happy to bag 1st runner- up at last Sunday's #BlazeCup2025 for the BC Mixed (genderless) Doubles Category. Achieve na achieve, my sobrang latina partnerrrr @kimgenss !! ❤️ Not bad for our first partnership. Thank you for trusting me. Here's to many more,” she wrote.
The Kapamilya star added how a friend reminded her that playing the racket sport builds character, among many other lessons.
“It teaches you to be patient with every ball. Humbles you enough to realize that no matter what your age, length of training and skills, it can be anybody's game,” she added.
Nikki maintained how playing Doubles in tennis also helps out in communication as you have to talk it out with your partner and not treat them as an opponent.
“In a game of singles, your only opponent is yourself. So toughen up and carry on when the going gets tough. While in a game of doubles, you should never treat your partner as an opponent. Instead, work on your dynamics, communicate and encourage each other A LOT,” she expressed.
Fans of the actress congratulated her in the comment section for bagging another medal. Other netizens expressed how inspired they are to pursue the sport despite their age.

“In this sport, nobody loses. It's either you win or you learn,” she ended.
The Kapamilya star previously shared in an older post why she continues playing the sport she learned to love at an older age. She proudly shared how the lessons in tennis isn’t only applicable to the sport but to life as well.
“I always say I wish I learned tennis when I was younger, but just like anything, maybe now is the time I was meant to be passionate about it and I am happy to be finally doing,” she previously shared.
