“Grabe yun, kung alam niyo lang hard work ni Gabbi,” he shared.
Khalil recalled how Gabbi was “at a crossroads of her career” last year–– deciding her next steps in her career. He shared that he just reminded her about how great her hosting skills are which was evident in the last edition of Miss Universe Philippines where she was the main host.
“I remember last year she was at a crossroads of her career. Thinking [about] what else she could offer and then we would talk about this when we have these conversations, I always tell her ‘you know what? I’ve worked with so many people, among all of them, grabe yung skills mo pag dating sa mga tao. I think you could be the next huge host here in the Philippines,’” he recalled.
The Kapuso star added how difficult hosting actually is as it’s very different from acting. He maintained that Gabbi’s upcoming hosting stint in PBB was a mix of her hard work and their manifestation to showcase her talents.
“Yung brain activity ng isang host, I couldn’t even begin to fathom what it takes to be a host… We really prayed for this and we really manifested a project for her where she could shine as a host and it came. I’m super happy for her,” he added.

Previously, Gabbi expressed with PUSH how excited she is for her PBB journey. She shared how she immediately asked Robi Domingo for some tips on how to be the house of the hit reality show.
“I immediately asked Robi kung paano ba? Kung may advice ba siya. Nagkakasama kami ni Robi sa iba’t-ibang mga hosting gigs especially last year. He’s very kind enough to tell me, share to me yung mga learnings niya sa PBB and kung ano mga dos and don’ts,” she previously shared.
