Kapuso singer and actress Rita Daniela expressed how happy she was to win the case she filed against actor Archie Alemania. In her Instagram account, she shared a quick statement to address everyone who showed their support throughout the whole ordeal.

A Bacoor court found Archie guilty of acts of lasciviousness and is sentenced to up to one year of jail time and fees of Php 20,000 in civil indemnity and Php 20,000 in moral damages. This comes after Rita filed a complaint back in 2024 accusing Archie of sexually violating her and making several inappropriate remarks during a ride home.

“Thank you God for everything. Thank you God for blessing me with people who have great hearts who have been helping me and still believing in me no matter what,” she wrote in her post.

The Kapuso star maintained that the win she got from the Bacoor court is not only for her but for everyone who received the same harassment in the past.

“The justice I received today is not just for me. This is also for all the women and men who were abused, harassed, and molested that didn’t have the voice and platform to fight for their own rights. So, I am celebrating this justice with you,” she added.

“Today, we all won. We won. God loves us,” she ended.

Fans and friends of the actress sent their congratulatory messages in the comment section of her post. Other netizens shared how happy they are that the court ruled in favor of the Kapuso actress.

“Thank you for standing up for all of us women. And for showing that justice for women is indeed possible in this country,” a fan shared.

“Thank you, Rita, for standing up not just for victims of abuse and violence, but especially for women who feel voiceless and afraid to speak out. It’s time we stand up for one another—and I’m so proud of you,” another fan expressed.

In a previous interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, Rita shared how much the incident changed her.

“I have to say mas guarded na ako, a bit. I try my very best to still act the same but siyempre hindi mo na yun maaalis sa akin na siyempre may trauma pa rin yan eh. So I just have to really be guarded and be more mindful and really choose the people that I open up to and that I talk to,” she previously shared.
