MANILA -- The family of Karen Bordador, who was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation last weekend, is appealing to the public to stop bashing the radio DJ.
Police seized P3-million worth of ecstasy, marijuana, marijuana oil, along with other drug paraphernalia in the condominium unit of Borador's boyfriend, Emilio Lim.

In a statement issued Thursday, the Borador family said it is one with the public in condemning illegal drugs, but appealed to "insensitive people" to stop judging the DJ.
"Karen has always been a kind-hearted, caring, thoughtful, generous and loving person. She would be the last person to engage in activities that might bring harm to others," the statement said.
According to the family, Borador has always been engaged in different activities aimed for the betterment of the community. "Please help us encourage Karen by acknowledging the good things that she has done."
"We pray to God for Divine Protection, Justice and Truth during this very trying time. Lahat tayo'y haharap din sa tunay na hustisya na galing sa Panginoon," the statement reads.
Local FM station Monster RX 93.1 has also released released a statement condemning the use of drugs. The station's officials said they were also surprised by the arrest as "Karen showed no indication in the workplace of any involvement with prohibited substances."
