EST Cola roared the loudest on Friday, stunning Creamline in dramatic fashion, 17-25, 24-21, 25-23, 27-25, in the 2026 PVL Invitational Conference at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
It was the Thai guest team that accomplished what the three previous teams could not achieve—dealing Creamline its first loss of the six-squad tournament.
The triumph, though, came not in the easiest way, with the Cool Smashers—as expected—proving that they are not pushovers.
In the face of a Creamline comeback, EST Cola stood its ground as they saw their eight-point lead vanish.

They even let the 11-time champions reach set point at 25-24 with four touches violation, but Natnicha Saelao and Nannaphat Moonjakham were there with the drop and the push, respectively, to reach match point once more, 26-25, allowing Nattharika Wasan to deliver the kill block that sealed Creamline’s maiden defeat.
With the win, EST Cola has tied its newest victim at 3-1 on top of the standings, denying the latter an outright finals berth.
Papatchaya Phontham delivered 27 big points for the Thailand side anchored on 24 attacks, two blocks, and one ace, to go along with 12 digs.
Moonjakham added 16 points, while Nirarach Srikuta was the other EST Cola player in twin-digit scoring with 12.
On the losing side, it was Jaja Santiago-Minowa who expectedly led the offense with 19 points, built mostly on hits. Jema Galanza chipped in 15 markers, while Alyssa Valdez had 11.

Earlier in the day, PLDT and Nxled grabbed wins to keep their finals hopes alive.
Savi Davison did what she does best—scoring for her team, this time dropping a whopping 32-point explosion to lead the High Speed Hitters’ 25-16, 25-22, 23-25, 25-20 victory over Farm Fresh.
The Chameleons, for their part, outlasted a gritty Ho Chi Minh side, 25-20, 31-33, 25-17, 25-22, for just their second win of the tournament.
After the losses, Farm Fresh and Ho Chi Minh are now out of finals contention, sliding to 1-3 cards.
