Talon Esports managed to avoid a winless streak after competing in four matches during the group phase of Danish Dota event Blast Slam II.
This, as John Anthony "Natsumi" Vargas and Carlo "Kuku" Palad stole one over Russian squad BetBoom Team in their best-of-one matchup, early Wednesday morning in Copenhagen (Manila time).
Core players Natsumi and Rafli "Mikoto" Fathur Rahman of Indonesia went perfect on the map, securing 8-0-8 and 12-0-10 kill-death-assist performances, respectively.
Meanwhile, Talon could not turn back Team Liquid this time, as the European esports organization exacted revenge against its Fissure Playground #1 tormentor.

They also absorbed losses against Europe's Tundra Esports and Chinese crew Yakult Brothers earlier in the day.
Still, the Philippines-based squad is guaranteed a playoff spot, although they need to grind all the way from Round 1 in order to secure a better placing in the Europe-based tilt.
A grand prize of $100,000 USD awaits the champions of the tier-one tournament, joined by prominent esports teams such as Team Falcons, Parivision, Nigma Galaxy, Gaimin Gladiators, Xtreme Gaming, among others.
