MANILA -- The University of Santo Tomas women's basketball team will have a new official outfitter ahead of their bid for redemption in UAAP Season 88.
World Balance has linked up with the Growling Tigresses, who are seeking to regain the women's basketball crown after falling short in their title defense last year.
"Season 88 is our chance to show that UST WBT is stronger, faster, and hungrier than ever. World Balance gives us that extra edge from training to game day," said UST head coach Haydee Ong.
"This collaboration is about standing behind our athletes and giving them what they need to perform at their best. It's about building their confidence, supporting their hard work, and being part of their journey this season," said Barnaby Chong, World Balance Chairman & CEO.
The Tigresses settled for a runner-up finish in Season 87, losing to National University in a three-game Finals series.
UST is also hosting UAAP Season 88, which officially opens on September 19 at the UST Grandstand and Open Field.
"This partnership is proof of what can happen when shared values come together for a common goal," said Fr. Rodel Cansancio, OP, the director of UST's Institute of Physical Education and Athletics (IPEA).
"For the Tigresses, it's about playing every game with the belief that they can rise higher, fight harder, and inspire others to do the same," he added.
