MANILA -- Count on the two-time UAAP Women’s MVP and the Pambansang Ginoo to make their mark on the halfcourt.
Kacey dela Rosa and celebrity David Licauco spearheads the featured list of names who will see action in the inaugural Pilipinas United 3x3 League this weekend at the Ayala Malls Manila Bay.
Dela Rosa will lead the charge for Gilas Pilipinas Women U23 as she links up with Kristine Cayabyab, Elaine Etang, and Cheska Apag as they continue their preparations for the 2025 Fiba 3x3 U23 World Cup in Xiong An, China.
But before that, their mettle will be tested in a tough Pool A which also consists of top local team Uratex Dream, backed by Chinese center Li Renzhu and Japanese guard Yumi Takakuwa, as well as Jumpshot of Singapore and Harimau Black of Malaysia.
Pilipinas Aguilas (Hoopjeep) will be leaning on Lexi Pana, Jhaz Joson, Trina Guytingco, and Mar Prado as they have been slotted in Pool B with Maurice Lacroix of Japan, Hanoi 3x3 by Amigos of Vietnam, and Harimau Yellow of Malaysia.

Over on the men’s side, Licauco’s stint is the most anticipated as he joins Taho Story A with Louie Vigil, Gryann Mendoza, and Tosh Sesay in the maiden staging of this Fiba Lite Quest event which was founded by Andrew Combate and Eric Altamirano.
They are placed in Pool D where they drew SBB of Japan and Smile 360 Dental Clinic.

The other groupings in the men’s division include Taho Story B, Activate Sports, and AMG PT Clinic in Pool A; Half Court Group (Hoopjeep), YouGuard, and Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia in Pool B; and Solaris, Ninja Airs of Japan, and Dame DOLLA of Vietnam in Pool C.
At stake for the men’s side is the USD 5,000 cash prize with the champion also earning a ticket to the Fiba 3x3 Kaohsiung Challenger in October, while the top local team will get a spot in the Fiba 3x3 Manila Challenger spot in September.
Meanwhile, the women are out to get the USD 3,000 cash prize in this tourney.
