But doing so won't be easy, especially with College of Saint Benilde standing in its way when they collide at 4:00 p.m.
The Red Lions (2-3) are making a last ditch effort to make it to the crossover quarterfinals following their thrilling 73-72 stunner over Mapua University last Saturday behind Janti Miller, Yukien Andrada, and Jomel Puno.
However, the Blazers (5-1) are out to deny that and formalize the top four of the NCAA Bracket especially as Allen Liwag and co. want to redeem themselves from a 68-58 loss to Colegio de San Juan de Letran last June 14.
Arellano University (5-3) also wants to clinch a quarterfinal spot when it takes on also-ran Jose Rizal University (3-5) in the curtain raiser at 10:00 a.m.
University of Santo Tomas (3-1) also has the same goals when it returns to action against winless University of the East (0-4) at 2:00 p.m.
Nic Cabañero, Forthsky Padrigao, and the rest of the Growling Tigers are still riding high from their 90-81 win over University of the Philippines and would want to sustain that form and become the first team to book a quarterfinal spot in the UAAP Bracket.
Still, Precious Momowei and the rest of the Red Warriors remain hungry as they seek their first win in the premier preseason tourney.
Mapua University (4-4) and University of Perpetual Help (4-4) end their respective campaigns at 12:00 p.m., hopeful that the cards will still favor them to have a remote shot at making it to the quarters.
