MANILA — Far Eastern University's Janrey Pasaol will be named UAAP Season 88 men's basketball MVP after leading the statistical points (SP) race following the conclusion of the elimination round.
Pasaol emerged as the frontrunner with 81.5 SPs after averages of 15.43 points, 4.14 rebounds, 7.5 assists, and 2.14 steals per contest.
He paved the way in FEU's massive 5-2 showing in the second round, after the Tamaraws started with a dismal 2-5 record.

He bested De La Salle University's Mike Phillips (80.429 SPs), University of Santo Tomas' Collins Akowe (79.286 SPs), National University's Jake Figueroa (77.286 SPs), and University of the East's Precious Momowei (75.214 SPs).
Rounding out the top 10 were Pasaol's colleague Mo Konateh (74.786 SPs), Tigers' Nic Cabanero (66.643 SPs), Warriors' John Abate (63.8 SPs), Tamaraws' Kirby Mongcopa (63.643 SPs), and University of the Philippines' Francis Nnoruka (62.071 SPs).
