JAKARTA, Indonesia - South Korean Team Sin Prisa Gaming will move up to the biggest stage in Pacific-based Valorant after a cardiac finale to the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Ascension held at the Britama Arena here, Sunday night.
This comes after they outclassed Indonesians BOOM Esports to claim the VCT Ascension Pacific title, and the chance to be promoted to the region's biggest Valorant league, VCT Pacific, 3-2.
SPG nearly squandered a 2-0 advantage, as BOOM Esports mounted its own comeback in front of a home crowd to force a deciding map in Bind, which ultimately ended up as a 17-15 win for the South Korean squad on overtime.
SPG's Yang "Prism" Zi-on (Brimstone) made the Hail Mary play of his life, getting a kill which allowed him to activate his Orbital Strike and stop BOOM Esports' from defusing during the last overtime round to claim the crown.
Valorant: NAOS denied VCT Pacific slot after Ascension exit
Sin Prisa Gaming will join professional teams such as all-Pinoy Team Secret, and other South Korean squads such as T1, DRX, and Gen.G.
All-Filipino team NAOS also participated in the competition, but faltered in the earlier parts of the playoffs, despite having a hefty advantage coming into the elimination period.

The result leaves Philippines at a drought in the bigger Valorant esports stage, as Team Secret is expected to remain as the lone Filipino squad playing in the game's professional scene.
