CapCut highlights the AI features of it video editing platform. Handout SINGAPORE – CapCut marked its milestone of reaching over 660 million users with a global community event series that kicked off in Singapore.
The event featured creators and industry professionals from the Philippines, Japan, Singapore, Vietnam, and Indonesia.
During her keynote speech, Global Head of CapCut, Xiaoqi Fu, shared that over 6 billion pieces of content including images, video clips, and effects were generated in 2026 by using the platform’s over 85 AI tools.
Among the AI features highlighted during the mainstage keynote was EditPilot.
According to CapCut, EditPilot enables users to work alongside an “AI editing partner” built into the CapCut PC version.
Users can direct EditPilot to perform editing tasks with instructions or plain text commands. CapCut recommends making these prompts specific and focused on the desired outcome.
EditPilot can automate tasks in the editing workflow such as trimming clips, removing filler words or pauses, reordering scenes, adding transitions between cuts, and creating different versions of an edit or footage, which could help in speeding up the traditional manual editing process.
If the result does not satisfy the user, follow-up prompts may be used to further direct the feature.
CapCut describes EditPilot as a “faster first-pass editor,” while leaving the final polishing and creative directions to the user.
CapCut World 2026 will move to Los Angeles on October 24 and London on November 14.
