MANILA — Cebu Pacific has received another Airbus A320neo airplane to add to its fleet.

In a statement, the budget carrier said this is the third of four Airbus A320neo planes scheduled for delivery this year.

Cebu Pacific president Xander Lao said the arrival of new A320neo planes shows the company's focus on bringing in fuel-efficient aircraft.

“This allows us to continue enhancing our fleet while keeping air travel accessible to more Filipinos," he explained.

Compared to older aircraft, NEO airplanes burn 15-20 percent less fuel per flight and produce significantly less noise, which means they have lower carbon emissions and make airline operations more sustainable.

Cebu Pacific said NEO aircraft now account for 77 percent of its jet fleet.
