MANILA — Ciara Sotto and Jose Vera Perez are returning to the stage in Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “South Pacific,” following the musical’s initial run in February.
The production, presented by the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music in partnership with the College of Commerce and Business Administration, returns from September 12-20 at the Proscenium Theatre in Rockwell Center, Makati City.

Sotto, who studied voice at the UST Conservatory of Music, reprises the role of Nellie Forbush, while composer-singer Perez plays Emile de Becque. Acclaimed operatic soprano Nenen Espina returns as Bloody Mary, with theater performer Sean Nolasco as Lt. Joseph Cable.
Directed by Paolo O’Hara, the production will feature UST Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Daniel Bartolome.
"South Pacific" is known for songs such as "Some Enchanted Evening" and "I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair."
