It's totally fine to flaunt what you have, especially if it came from your hard work. And this is what Tuesday Vargas did as she proudly showed her home in the latest vlog of "TV Patrol" anchor Karen Davila.
"Wala pong kinuha sa kaban ng bayan. Purong pawis at dugo ko lang po 'yan," she said amid the ongoing flood control corruption scandal in the country.
Vargas has been living in her bright and spacious home in Quezon City for the past 11 years. She is staying with her son, who operates a small food business selling Asian dishes like pho, pad kra pao, and char siu pork.
According to the actress, she has tried all sorts of jobs and side gigs to get enough money to build their home. "Lahat na ng raket pinatulan ko," she said.
And this comes as no surprise for Vargas, who grew up with an entrepreneurial spirit -- she sold sweets and snacks as a child so she can buy what she wants instead of depending on her parents. She also took on dubbing, writing, and reporting stints in college for extra money.
And today, her home is a constant reminder of all her effort and sacrifices. Parts of it were shown in Davila's vlog, here's a look:
