And behind the beauty are the Philippines’ most sought-after hairstylists and makeup artists, who contribute to the fans’ favorite stars' aesthetically pleasing appearance, particularly under the dazzling lights.

Meet Jun Parcero, the renowned hairstylist responsible for Daniel Padilla's viral hairstyles, including his modern mullet, buzz cut, rich copper hair, and the newest style, the warrior cut.

In 2024, Padilla's contemporary mullet and buzz cut, his most fearless style to date, went viral on the internet. After that, he changed his hair to a rich copper color and is now sporting his well-known warrior cut.

The Facebook videos of Master Jun doing Padilla's hair have received millions of views, with followers praising his magical hands.

“Daniel trusts me. May mga gupit si Daniel na para sa roles or projects. Lahat ay bagay sa kanya. Mabait siyang ka-work. Pupunta siya sa salon at alam na namin ang gagawin. Minsan may gusto siya at may mga sina-suggest naman ako,” he told ABS-CBN News.

“Sa 2025, ‘yan ang mga nag-trend — mullet, buzz cut, French cut. Kasama rin ang K-pop styles,” he added, analyzing 2025 hair trends while planning for 2026 trends.

Before becoming famous, Master Jun worked at Reyes Haircutters and Bambbi Fuentes Salon, where he learned the principles of hairstyling and had a strong desire to transform and empower people through their hair. As a child, he would hold the scissors and attempt to cut hair.

However, Master Jun believes that one's excellence cannot be defined by the amount of training one has had as hairstyling has always been in his DNA.

“Wala akong mga pinanood na tutorials. Nung nasa high school ako, gupit lang ako nang gupit. ‘Yun lang talaga. Walang nagturo sa akin. Siguro ‘yun ang totoong magic,” he said.

“‘Di ba ganoon naman kapag alam mong gusto mo ang ginagawa mo? Lumalabas ang magic kasi ‘yan ang passion mo,” he added.

The prominent hairstylist noted that hairstyling is an art that requires studying the facial features before providing the appropriate style.

“Once nakita ko ‘yung tao, alam ko na agad kung ano ang babagay sa kanya. I suggest the look, and madalas nagugustuhan nila. Fulfilling para sa akin ‘pag nakikita ko silang masaya,” he shared.

When he was given the opportunity to cut the hair of the original "It's Showtime" director, it opened up a world of possibilities for him. Then he met Vhong Navarro, the noontime show host, and his life transformed.

After working with the director and Navarro, Master Jun began to meet new celebrity clients, making him so popular that he had to open his own salon, the Parcero Salon, which recently celebrated its eighth anniversary at Destello Cantina Restaurant in San Juan.

“‘Yun na ang simula. Sunud-sunod nang dumating ang mga celebrities — at dumami pa. Hanggang ngayon, sobrang grateful ako,” he said.

At his salon, he has trained his hairstylists/staff to uphold the Master Jun brand, which is fresh, fun, and polished.

Aside from Padilla and Navarro, his other clients include Jhong Hilario, McCoy de Leon, Ronnie Alonte, Seth Fedelin, Amy Perez, Nikko Natividad, Zeus Collins, Jameson Blake, Jon Lucas, Rendon Labador, Anthony Jennings, Paul Salas, Billy Crawford, and many others.

“Haircut kasi talaga ang pinaka-importante sa mga lalaki. ‘Yun talaga. Kahit nga simple lang ang damit mo, basta maganda ang gupit mo, panalo ka,” he told ABS-CBN News.

“Madalas sinasabi na lang nila, ‘Bahala ka na, Master Jun.’ Kasi tiwala na sila,” he added.

While surrounded by famous people, Master Jun never forgets his humble beginnings, remaining the same guy who enjoys instilling confidence in others through his haircuts. He also stated that he intends to expand his Parcero Salon and venture into the bar business.

He closed the chat with some advice for aspiring hairstylists.

“Tiwala lang sa sarili. Mag-focus sa trabaho. Huwag munang isiping mag-viral. Paghusayan muna ang paggugupit,” he ended.
