ABS-CBN News personalities Jeff Caparas, Lyza Aquino, and MJ Felipe brought their game faces on as they joined the noontime show "It's Showtime" for a lively round of the game segment "MASAgot Mo Kaya," representing their digital program "Philippines' Most Shocking Stories."
Competing as Team Shocking, the trio went head-to-head with Team Smiling composed of comedians Cai Cortez, Rubi Rubi, and Via Antonio.
When asked by hosts Vice Ganda and Vhong Navarro about their team name, Felipe explained: "Kaya siya tinawag na Team Shocking because of our digital show, 'Philippines' Most Shocking Stories.' We are now on our fourth episode, ito 'yung mga kwento o events na yumanig sa buong bansa."
The game featured a series of fill-in-the-blank questions that tested the teams' familiarity with Filipino sayings and everyday expressions.
One question asked: "Kumpletuhin ang mga karaniwang nakapaskil sa paaralan: No ID, no..."
Felipe confidently answered, "No ID, no entry," scoring a point for Team Shocking.
Another round had Aquino and Antonio go head-to-head on the classic childhood chant: "Tagu-taguan, maliwanag ang buwan…" where Antonio quickly got the correct answer.
In the final question, players were asked: "Ano itong 'E' na tumutukoy sa isang taong madalas nagpapapansin at bida-bida?"
Antonio once again clinched the point with the popular answer: "Epal."
Ultimately, it was Team Smiling who walked away with the win, but the fun and laughter shared between the teams made everyone a winner.
"Philippines' Most Shocking Stories' airs every Tuesday at 8 p.m. on the ABS-CBN News official YouTube channel.
