Call Me Mother stars Vice Ganda and Nadine Lustre shared touching moments, personal wishes, and reflections on childhood and self-growth during their Disneyland shoot for their film.
In Vice Ganda’s recent vlog, the two were seen enjoying their time at the iconic theme park, with Vice jokingly introducing Nadine as his “President Nadine” as they explored “the happiest place on Earth.”
Nadine, who grew up watching Disney films, became emotional as she revisited the park. She recalled first visiting Disneyland with her mother when she was younger and shared that seeing the characters always brings her back to her childhood.
“Parang 18 ako or something (noong last na punta ko). Iba pa itsura nito (Disneyland castle) noon,” Nadine told Vice.
She added that she gets emotional whenever she goes to Disneyland and sees every character she previously watched, explaining: “Kapag nakikita mo sila, alam mo kilala mo kasi napapanood mo before and bumabalik sa pagkabata.
The Disneyland visit was part of the filming for Call Me Mother, Vice and Nadine’s entry to the 2025 Metro Manila Film Festival. During the film’s grand media day, the cast and production team revealed that they were granted permission to shoot some scenes inside the popular theme park.
Director Jun Lana noted that securing permission to film inside Disneyland was a rare and emotional experience for the team. Vice also recounted how the production was granted exclusive access to specific areas of the park, including the iconic Disneyland castle that made Call Me Mother the first Asian film and third film globally permitted to shoot inside Disneyland.

While at Disneyland, Vice and Nadine also shared their wishes at the park’s wishing well. Nadine said she dreams of owning a house someday while Vice shared that his biggest wish is good health for himself, his family, and his partner Ion.
Kailangan healthy kami.”
Nadine also offered a heartfelt wish for her brother who passed away, hoping he is peaceful and smiling wherever he may be.
“Sa kapatid ko na nandyan somewhere, wish ko kung nasaan man siya peaceful siya and nasa maayos siya and smiling. I won't say heaven kasi nararamdaman ko pa rin siya,” she expressed.
She also shared her wish for her fellow actress Liza Soberano. Nagkita kami noong nasa US kami and I know she’s doing her own thing and masaya siya doing that.”
She added, “Ang wish ko para sa kaniya ay sana matuloy na yung pagproduce niya ng mga projects and magkarooon pa siya ng new projects, and Hollywood film projects.”
Meanwhile, Vice shared his wish for ABS-CBN, hoping the network and its people would be given more opportunities to grow and thrive.

On a national level, both stars expressed hope for the Philippines, calling for an end to corruption despite acknowledging how challenging it may be.
Kahit medyo imposible pero mangyayari,” Nadine said.
