It was a night of big wins, standout performances, and a historic crossover as this year’s Star Magic All-Star Games brought together Kapamilya stars and GMMTV artists from Thailand for a friendly basketball showdown.
Held on August 23 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, Team Star Magic, Team Shooting Stars Blue, and Star Magic Lady Spikers emerged as the big winners of the Star Magic All-Star Games 2026.
SEAbling Basketball Showdown
The much-anticipated SEAbling Showdown between Team Star Magic and GMMTV Thailand ended with the Kapamilya stars taking a commanding 83-53 victory over their Thai counterparts.
Team Star Magic was led by Gerald Anderson, alongside Ronnie Alonte, JM Ibarra, Emilio Daez, River Joseph, Jeremiah Lisbo, Ashton Salvador, Argel Saycon, Elyson De Dios, Young JV, and Tristan Ramirez.
Meanwhile, leading GMMTV Thailand was Neo, together with fellow beloved actors AJ, JJ, Joss, Gawin, Ryu, Aston, Marc, Ping, and Teshow.
Gerald proved to be the standout of the historic matchup, earning the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award after helping Team Star Magic secure the 30-point victory.
Joining Gerald in the Mythical Five were fellow Team Star Magic players Argel and Ronnie together with GMMTV stars Neo and Aston.
The friendly game ended on an equally warm note, with the Filipino and Thai stars greeting one another and shaking hands at center court, a fitting end to the first-ever SEAbling Showdown between Star Magic and GMMTV.
Juniors Basketball Division
Team Shooting Stars Blue took home the championship in the Juniors Basketball division after defeating Team Shooting Stars Red, 55-35.
The winning team was composed of Rave Victoria, Wakin Canlas, Rocky Labayen, Jan Silva, Marc Nanninga, Binsoy Namoca, Dustine Mayores, Josh Worsley, Iñigo Jose, Diego Gutierrez, and captain Dylan Yturralde, with MPBL alum Martin Daez serving as head coach.
Meanwhile, Team Shooting Stars Red led by captain Seth Fedelin, settled for the first runner-up finish. The team included Joaquin Arce, Ice Almeria, Andrez Del Rosario, Lance Lucido, Russu Laurente, JP Cabrera, Marc Santiago, Fred Moser, BGYO’s Mikki Claver, and Robbie Jaworski, with JJ Española of Gilas Pilipinas as head coach.
Team Shooting Stars Blue’s victory was highlighted by Diego, who delivered a game-high 30 points, five rebounds, six assists, and three steals to earn the MVP award.
Diego also made the Mythical Five, alongside fellow Team Shooting Stars Blue players Jan and Rocky, alongside Robbie and Fred from Team Shooting Stars Red.
Fred was likewise recognized as the Rookie of the Year.
Meanwhile, Eliza Borromeo served as the Team Shooting Stars Blue’s muse and earned the highest number of votes as the Fan-Favorite Muse.
Francine Diaz served as the muse for the Team Shooting Stars Red.
Women’s Volleyball
Over in the Women’s Volleyball Game, the Star Magic Lady Spikers once again proved why they remain the team to beat after securing another championship.
The reigning champions defeated the Star Magic Lady Warriors in two sets, with the latter finishing as first runner-up.
The Lady Spikers were represented by Vivoree, Janah Zaplan, Sophie Reyes, Isabel Laohoo, Ai dela Cruz, Lella Ford, Fyang Smith, and Magui Ford. They were reinforced by NXLED Chameleons player Jules Tolentino and Alas Pilipinas’ Niña Ytang, while five-time Star Magic All-Star Games MVP Analain Salvador served as team captain.
Across the net, the Lady Warriors were composed of Rain Celmar, Rans Rifol, Leona Andalio, Jas Dudley-Scales, Kolette Madelo, Gillian Vicencio, and Erin Navarro, with captain Reign Parani leading the squad. Adamson Lady Falcons player Bella Sapienza and Akari Chargers pro Risa Sato also joined the team as reinforcements.
Lella emerged as one of the biggest individual winners of the women’s volleyball division after being named Best Spiker and later taking home the MVP award.
The Star Magic Lady Warriors also collected individual honors, with guest player Bella earning Best Setter and Gillian being named Best Receiver.
The Mythical Six consisted of Star Magic Lady Warriors players Reign, Leona, and Gillian, together with Star Magic Lady Spikers Magui, Lella, and Analain.
Several other Kapamilya stars were also spotted supporting their fellow artists at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, including Alexa Ilacad, Dustin Yu, Bianca De Vera, Miguel Vergara, and Krystal Mejes.
Former Pinoy Big Brother housemates Jarren Garcia and Kai Montinola, along with DNA, WRIVE, BGYO, and Baby Dolls, also added to the festivities as guest performers.
