The Star Magic All-Star Games, a celebrity sporting event, is expanding its lineup to include stars from neighboring Thailand.
This year's games will be held at the Mall of Asia Arena on August 23, according to a video announcement.
However, instead of local celebrities competing against one another in basketball, Team Star Magic Philippines — composed of artists under ABS-CBN's talent management arm — will face off against stars from GMMTV, the Thai production and talent agency widely known for its boys' love (BL) series.
The roster of local celebrities include Emilio Daez, JM Ibarra, Gerald Anderson, Ronnie Alonte, River Joseph, Young JV, Tristan Ramirez, Argel Saycon, Jeremiah Lisbo, Ashton Salvador and Elyson De Dios.
Meanwhile, the GMMTV stars playing include AJ, Neo, Joss, Gawin, JJ, Ryu, Aston, Marc, Ping and Teshow.
Further details, including ticketing information, have yet to be announced.
