QUEZON CITY — Filipino pop-rock band 6cyclemind marked its 25th anniversary with a homecoming concert Saturday at the Eton Centris Activity Center, bringing together longtime fans, former members and younger artists for a night built around the band's enduring catalog.
The anniversary show opened with “Magsasaya,” immediately turning the venue into a sing-along as the band followed with familiar favorites including “Paba,” “Biglaan,” “Prinsesa,” “Pangako,” “Basta Ako” and “No Rewind.”
The celebration also underscored the band's cross-generational appeal, with a series of guest appearances throughout the night.
Rye Sarmiento joined the band for “Gaya Ng Noon,” while Bino of Sunkissed Lola appeared for “I” and later performed the latter band's hit “Pasilyo” with 6cyclemind.
The Dawn's Jet Pangan drew cheers when he joined the band for “Upside Down” and “Iisang Bangka Tayo.” Pop singer Gigi De Lana also took the stage for “Bonggahan” and “Sige,” the latter featuring surprise guest Chuck Isidro, a former 6cyclemind member and producer of the band's upcoming album.
The band also looked ahead, performing new material from its forthcoming album, including “Hithit Buga,” “Di Na Babalik,” “Nagbago” and “Huling Pagkakataon.”
Those new songs were woven into a set that revisited some of the band's best-known tracks, including “Kung Wala Na Nga,” “Alapaap,” “Kasalanan,” “Trip” and “Sandalan.”

Even the rain failed to send the crowd home. As showers fell over the venue, concertgoers continued singing and dancing through the anniversary set, turning an unexpected downpour into part of the night's celebration.
The anniversary concert also included activities for fans, with the first 100 attendees receiving exclusive 6cyclemind shirts and access to a meet-and-greet with the band. A videoke contest also gave fans a chance to perform OPM favorites, with the highest scorer winning a cash prize.
For the band, the milestone was an opportunity to thank the fans, brands and management team that have supported them through different stages of their career.
“We are very thankful sa lahat na nandyan pa rin para sa amin: from our management, fans, and brands that continue to support us,” the band said in a press statement. “Andito na kami sa age na we are enjoying the fruits of our labor. We are lucky and grateful na, sa dami ng nangyari sa banda, natawid namin lahat ng ’to.”

From bar gigs and small events to festivals, provincial shows and corporate performances, 6cyclemind has continued to perform while adapting to changes in the music industry and its own lineup.
The band's next chapter will center on the upcoming album produced by Isidro, with manager and sixth member Darwin Hernandez saying the group remains eager to introduce its music to new listeners.
“The excitement is always there,” Hernandez said. “Para pa din kaming bago na nag-promote ng kanta namin to a new audience.”
