Hollywood star Jennifer Lawrence has joined Instagram, launching her own page on Thursday, September 10 (PH time).
The actress kicked off her account with a playful reel, quipping about how she plans to deal with negativity on the platform.
“So yeah, I’m giving it a shot, and if anyone says anything negative, I will quit. Immediately, no questions asked,” she said.
“If anyone thinks something mean, I’ll know. I’ll know, and I’ll quit," she added.
Fans were quick to welcome Jennifer to the social media platform and react to her first post.
"Everyone be mindful mother has arrived," one fan wrote.
"The comments are surprisingly on their best behavior," another fan commented.
Jennifer's Instagram page has already amassed 5.9 million followers as of this writing.
The actress recently starred in the film Die My Love and is set to return to The Hunger Games franchise in the upcoming prequel Sunrise on the Reaping.
Outside of her acting career, Jennifer is married to art dealer Cooke Maroney. The couple welcomed their first child in February 2022 and their second child in March 2025.
In a 2025 interview at the Cannes Film Festival, as reported by Elle, Jennifer opened up about how becoming a mother has significantly changed both her personal life and her approach to acting.
"Having children changes your whole life—it’s brutal and incredible. Not only does it go into every decision of if I’m working, when I’m working and where I’m working," she said.

Jennifer also shared how motherhood has contributed to her creative growth as an artist.
"My job has a lot to do with emotion; they’ve opened up the world to me. It’s almost like feeling a blister, so sensitive," she remarked.
"They’ve changed my life for the best and they’ve changed me creatively. I highly recommend having kids if you want to be an actor," the actress added.
