Kapamilya actor Elijah Canlas shared that he went to a new “tourist spot” in the Netherlands–– the International Criminal Court (ICC) at The Hague. In his X (formerly Twitter) account, the Senior High star shared some photos from his quick trip in the European country.

The ICC has been surrounded by many supporters of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte who is currently inside the facility as he is being tried for the alleged crime against humanity of murder which was committed during the war on drugs campaign.

Meanwhile, Elijah is in Europe for a new project under MavX Productions that requires them to shoot some scenes in Finland.

“Bagong tourist spot sa netherlands,” Elijah said.

In his post, the actor posed in front of the ICC building with a thumbs up. Fans of Elijah were quick to respond to his humor and shared some of their own jokes in the comment section of his post.

“buti ka pa makakauwi ng pinas,” a fan quipped.

“He's such a vibe talaga. Politically aware and vocal,” a fan added.

“Kaya bet ko toh si Elijah eh — mahilig mandogshow,” another fan expressed.

The Kapamilya actor has always been vocal about his political stance and would express his opinions on social media. Previously, he shared his opinion on the highly-controversial flood control scam that’s affected millions of people.

"Sobrang busy lang ako ngayon kaya hindi ako masyado outspoken o nakakapagsalita even online. Pero deep down, updated ako. Deep down, marami akong nararamdamang galit, panghihinayang, empathy, sympathy sa mga kababayan natin, sa mga kapwa nating Filipino," he said.

"Dahil harap-harapan tayong niloloko. Harap-harapan tayong ginagago, harap-harapan tayong pinagsisinungalingan ng mga taong namumuno sa atin, ng mga kumukurakot sa atin. At parang wala silang hiya lahat,” he maintained.
