Actress Shuvee Etrata turned a lucky win into an act of kindness after giving ₱10,000 to a crying restroom attendant she encountered during the birthday celebration of chemist-philanthropist Pinky Tobiano.
The heartwarming moment was shared by Pinky through her Instagram Stories on July 20.

Shuvee won ₱20,000 during one of the activities held at her intimate birthday gathering. Instead of keeping the entire amount, the actress decided to give half of the prize money to a cleaning lady working at the venue after seeing her crying inside the restroom.
“Grabe!! The heart of gold of Shuvee.. She won ₱20,000 last night and she gave ₱10,000.00 to the cleaning lady of the toilet of Manila House (she found the cleaning lady crying in the toilet),” Pinky wrote as she shared a photo together with the actress.
Pinky did not reveal why the restroom attendant was in tears or tell further details about their encounter. As of this writing, Shuvee has also yet to share the story behind her generosity.
Following Pinky's post, netizens commended Shuvee for her generosity, calling her gesture a reflection of her kind heart.
"Another day, another proof of how generous Shuvee is. She won 20k and gave half of it to a cleaning lady she saw crying in the restroom. So proud of her kind heart, her success has never changed the way she cares for others 🥹,” one wrote on X.
"Shuvee, the lady that you are, that’s why you are blessed a thousand folds. 🧡,” another posted.
In another Instagram Story, Shuvee and Pinky also encouraged the public to continue supporting Filipino entertainment.
“Please watch, please support Filipino films [and] Filipino teleseryes dahil gawa po ito ng mga Pilipino,” Shuvee said.
“At nagpapaligaya [at] nagbibigay pag-asa,” Pinky added.
Several personalities were present during Pinky's birthday celebration, including Ashley Ortega, Markki Stroem, GMA executive and lawyer Annette Gozon-Valdes, former Ilocos Sur Governor Luis “Chavit” Singson, and many others.
Prior to the celebration, Pinky also marked her birthday with the cast of Sigabo, where she is currently part of the cast. Coco Martin, Julia Montes, and other members of the cast attended the earlier gathering.
Shuvee's latest gesture reflects the values she has openly spoken about in previous interviews.
In an earlier conversation with Karen Davila, the actress shared how growing up in poverty shaped her perspective in life. As the eldest of nine siblings and breadwinner of their family, she said one of her biggest goals has always been to spare her younger siblings from experiencing the hardships she went through.
“Gusto ko po, hindi na sila lumaking mahirap. Ayoko po na gumising sila na hindi nila alam kung anong kakainin. Ayokong maranasan nilang pupunta silang school, wala silang pambayad sa exam,” she said.
Earlier this month, Shuvee also celebrated a personal milestone after her younger sister, Shaina, became the first among their siblings to graduate from college.
